Colfax Nabs Win Against Kettle Falls Bulldogs

COLFAX –– Colfax Varsity Bulldogs secured a victory over Kettle Falls in the second inning, where Colfax coughed up several runs, finalizing a 16-4 win on Thursday, May 4.

In the first inning, Colfax Varsity Bulldogs started their offense when Cody Inderrieden singled on a 0=1 count, scoring two runs.

Colfax Varsity Bulldogs pulled away for good with six runs in the second inning. In the second, J.D. Peterson doubled on the first pitch of the at-bat, scoring two runs. Braden Plummer singled on the first pitch of the at-bat, scoring one run. Dawson Lobdell singled on the first pitch of the at-bat, scoring two runs, and Alex Mortensen singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run.

Colfax Varsity Bulldogs scored six runs in the fourth inning. J.J. Bodey, Mason Gilchrist, Inderrieden, and Mortensen all drove in runs in the inning.

J.P. Wigen was the winning pitcher for Colfax Varsity Bulldogs. Wigen surrendered four runs on five hits over five innings, striking out seven.

Zane Johnson led things off on the pitcher’s mound for Kettle Falls. The hurler went three innings, allowing ten runs on ten hits and striking out two. Jones threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.

Colfax Varsity saw the ball well today, racking up 14 hits in the game.

Inderrieden, Peterson, Lobdell, and Plummer all had multiple hits for Colfax Varsity Bulldogs. Peterson and Inderrieden all had three hits to lead Colfax Varsity Bulldogs.

Adan Harrington went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Kettle Falls in hits.
