Gar-Pal takes loss in landslide baseball game

GARFIELD–– The Garfield-Palouse (GARPAL) Varsity Baseball team went against the Pomeroy Varsity Pirates in a doubleheader on Tuesday, April 25.

The Pirates took the victory 14-0 after Ollie Severs threw a perfect game and 11 runs scored in the fourth inning. However, the first inning fired up the pirates when Trace Roberts tripled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run.

Bryce Pfaff was on the mound for GARPAL. Pfaff surrendered 13 runs on seven hits over three and two-thirds innings, striking out five.

The second game brought another victory to the Pirates after the Pirates secured an 18-0 run against GARPAL.

Brodie Magill hurled a perfect game to lead Pomeroy to victory. Magill would strike out Colton Pfaff to end the game.

The Pomeroy Pirates took the lead after scoring six runs in the fifth inning.

Pfaff once again took the hill for GARPAL. Pfaff allowed six hits and 11 runs over three innings, striking out two.

The Pirates totaled 11 hits and tore up base paths as two players stole at least two bases. Roberts led the way with three.
