COLFAX — Whitman County District Court reported the following criminal conviction sentences from April 18 – April 21

April 18

• Spencer Jones, was found guilty of theft in the third degree-domestic violence/intimate partner. Therefore, the defendant is sentenced to 364 days of jail, 363 suspended, and fines totalizing $1343. The defendant must pay total financial obligations at $50 per month starting on May 1, 2023. The defendant has supervised probation for 24 months, with probation department and abide by all rules and regulations. No criminal violations of law or alcohol-related infractions. Must obtain an evaluation from a Washington State Certified domestic violence program, and file a copy of the evaluation within 45 days. Must begin any recommended treatment or education within 60 days and file proof of timely enrollment and completion. Use no alcoholic beverages or non-prescribed controlled drugs. Review hearing scheduled June 21, 2023, at 9 a.m. to check compliance with domestic violence evaluation and treatment.

April 19

• Nathaniel Clark, was found guilty of driving while license suspended third degree. Therefore the defendant is sentenced to 90 days of jail, 90 suspended. Defendant must have no criminal violations of law, and not drive a motor vehicle without a valid license and proof of insurance. Unsupervised probation for 12 months, with probation to terminate up reinstatement of driver’s license.

April 20

• Jesus Valles Lozano, was found guilty of unattended hit and run. Therefore the defendant is sentenced to a deferred sentence of 24 months, 90 days of jail, 88 unsuspended, and a fine of $500, $500 suspended. Jail shall be arranged by the probation department and completed by defendant within 60 days. The defendant has a total of $443 in fines, $100 restitution to Rebecca Lloyd. $300 of this total is converted to community service at the rate of $16 an hour, to be completed by Aug. 31, 2023, with proof of completion provided to the probation department. Supervised probation for 24 months, unsupervised for last 12 months if all essential requirements of the sentence have been completed. Defendant must obtain an alcohol/drug evaluation from a Washington State-approved agency and file a copy within 30 days.

• Lorenzo Roman Alejandre, was found guilty of minor in possession of alcohol. Therefore the defendant is sentenced to a deferred sentence for 6 months, 30 days of jail, 30 suspended, and a fine of $500, $300 suspended. The defendant owes a total of $543 in fines. $500 of this total is converted to community service at the rate of $16 an hour to be completed by Aug. 31, 2023, with proof of completion provided to the probation department. The defendant has unsupervised probation for 6 months.

• Mickaila Martin, was found guilty of DWLS in the third degree. Therefore the defendant is sentenced to 90 days of jail, 90 suspended, and a fine of $500, $500 suspended. Defendant will serve a total of 30 days of electronic monitoring. Defendant violated probation by committing the new offense of DWLS third degree. Defendant owe’s $43 total in fines. Unsupervised probation for 12 months, to be terminated upon reinstatement of license. Any remaining LFOs on other matters may be placed into financial monitoring of this case at the discretion of probation.

• Seth Klander was found guilty of Disorderly conduct. Therefore the defendant has a deferred sentence for 12 months, 90 days of jail, 89 suspended, and a fine of $500, $500 suspended. The defendant will serve a total of one day in jail. Defendant has a total of $643 in fines. $600 of this total is converted to community service at the rate of $16 an hour to be completed by Aug. 31, 2023 with proof of completion provided to the probation department. Supervised probation for 12 months. Defendant must obtain an alcohol/drug evaluation from a Washington State-approved agency, a mental health evaluation from a state licensed mental health provider, and file copies of the evaluations within 36 days. Defendant may either complete an alcohol evaluation and any recommended treatment and following completion prohibition of use/possession of alcohol and marijuana and UAs will terminate or abstain from alcohol and marijuana and submit to random UA's for the full length of probation. Mental health evaluation shall include a domestic violence component.

• Sydney Thrall, was found guilty of negligent driving first degree. Therefore the defendant is sentenced to 90 days of jail, 89 suspended, and a fine of $1,000, $750 suspended. Defendant must serve one day in jail, which can be converted to 12 hours community service, done out of county at the defendant’s expense. Defendant has a total of $715.40 in fines due by March 31, 2025. Defendant may perform community service in lieu of $550 of fines to be credited at the rate of $16 an hour and approved in advance by the probation department. Community service to be completed by Dec. 31, 2023. Supervised probation for 24 months, unsupervised for last 12 months if all essential requirements of the sentence have been completed. Obtain an expanded alcohol assessment from a Washington State approved agency and file a copy by May 19, 2023. Attend DUI Victim Impact Panel within a month. Defendant shall be granted a dollar-for-dollar credit applied to fine for any out-of-pocket expenses for evaluation, treatment and or VIP. If defendant has completed all obligations with no violation of probation, she may petition for termination of probation after 6 months. While Defendant may use and possess intoxicants she must not do so to the point of legal intoxication. Defendant may petition for early termination of probation after 12 months and after successful completion of all terms of this judgment and sentence.

• Anthony Eleen was found guilty of negligent driving. Therefore the defendant is sentenced to 90 days of jail, 89 suspended, and a fine of $1000, $279 suspended. Defendant must serve one day in jail, which can be converted to 12 hours community service which may be done out of county at defendant’s expense. The defendant has a total of $1,364 in fines, to be paid by March 31, 2025/ Defendant may perform community service in lieu of $500 to be credited at the rate of $16 an hour and approved in advance by the probation department. Community service must be completed by Dec. 31, 2023. Supervised probation for 24 months, unsupervised for last 23 months if all essential requirements of the sentence have been completed. Must obtain an expanded alcohol assessment from a Washington State approved agency with filed proof by May 19, 2023, and begin within 45 days with filed proof of timely enrollment and completion. Attend DUI Victim Impact Panel within 3 months. Defendant shall be granted a dollar-for-dollar credit applied to fine for any out-of-pocket expenses for evaluation, treatment and or VIP. Defendant may petition for early termination of probation after 12 months and after successful completion of all terms of this judgement and sentence.

April 21

• Logan Galbraith, was found guilty of negligent driving in the first degree. Therefore the defendant is sentenced to 90 days of jail, with 89 suspended, and a fine of $1,000, with $500 suspended. The defendant must serve one day in jail, which may be converted to 9 hours community service. Community service may be done out of county at defendant’s expense. Jail shall be arranged by the probation department and completed within 60 days. Defendant must pay a total of $1,206 fines by March 31, 2025. Defendant may perform community service in lieu of $500 of fines to be credited at the rate of $16 an hour and approved in advance by the probation department. Community service must be completed by Dec. 31, 2023. Defendant has supervised probation for 24 months, unsupervised for last 12 months if all essential requirements of the sentence have been completed. Defendant must obtain an expanded alcohol assessment from a Washington State approved agency and file a copy of the assessment by May 19, 2023 to begin within 30 days with filed proof of timely enrollment and completion. Attend DUI Victim Impact Panel within 3 months. Defendant shall be granted a dollar-for-dollar credit applied to fine for any out-of-pocket expenses for evaluation treatment and or VIP.
