Whitman County Commissioners discuss quarterly reviews in budget

COLFAX –– Whitman County Commissioners met on Monday, April 24, to open a discussion about the quarterly reviews and identify where the large deficit was found in the budget.

They reported that the commissioners should be at 25% of the budget collected or expensed in the first quarter.

The revenues returned were reported to be at 24% at the end of March. The expenditures for the county are at 26%.

Cash-wise, the county was 1.4-to-1.5 million dollars ahead of March 2022.
