The youngest Palouse variety show member, third grader Fisher Harris, plays a hard rock medley on the electric guitar including Black Sabbath, Ted Nugent, and more.

PALOUSE - The Garfield-Palouse Performing Arts Boosters hosted their Spring Variety Show and Fundraiser Sunday, April 16, at the Palouse Community Center.

Palouse music teacher Matt Zook stated that it went well.

"I thought all the student performances were really good," he said, "I was proud of Fisher Harris, that played the electric guitar," he noted that Fisher was the youngest that performed. Having the young kids perform shows that kids are not just getting music from school but at home, he added.

"We were able to raise more money than we thought we would, which is good for scholarships and opportunities," he said.

Zook added that having the Distinguished Young Women perform their talents worked well.

He further stated that seeing so many businesses contribute to the silent auction and Katie Young's willingness to make the baked goods homemade was good.

"She didn't expect anything," he said, "that was just her way of contributing to the arts in the schools."
