Colfax varsity baseball takes lead in fifth inning
Bulldogs take win against Asotin in doubleheader’s first game

COLFAX –– Varsity Bulldogs took the lead late in the game against Asotin at an away game Tuesday afternoon.
Colfax defeated Asotin 9-4 and was tied until the third inning.
The Bulldogs batted at the beginning of the fifth when J.D. Peterson doubled on the first pitch of the bat, scoring two runs.
Alex Mortensen was the winning pitcher for the team. He gave up four runs on three hits over the five innings, striking out five.
Cody Inderrieden threw two innings to relieve Mortensen.
Cody Ells was on the mound for Asotin and surrendered six runs on nine hits over five innings, striking out...
