New Malden cell tower operational

MALDEN —The Mayor of Malden, Dan Harwood, confirmed they have a Verizon Cell Tower up and running in Malden.
Harwood explained that they have been working on the town project since May 2022. He noted that the reason for the tower is that many Malden citizens do not have a landline, and citizens depend on their cell phones after the fire in Malden.
Since their reception could have been better, Harwood explained that the city got assistance from Representative Mary Dye, who gave them the Verizon contact.
“We worked closely with Verizon, and now we have a cell tower,” Harwood said.
