Bulldogs take win against Potlatch and Orofino

COLFAX — The Colfax boys team swept the Potlatch Loggers and the Orofino Maniacs in a doubleheader Friday, March 17.

Colfax took the games 1-14 and 1-5.

The first game against Potlatch began at 11 a.m.

Colfax scored 14 runs in comparison to Loggers, who only had 1.

The Bulldogs also had 10 hits, 9 doubles, and 13 RBIs.

They were led by their two pitchers, Mortensen and Peterson.

Orofino faced the bulldogs at 2 p.m. and held a strong game against Colfax.

The maniacs had a total of 9 hits against the bulldogs 5. However, Colfax gained way with 5 runs, 9 doubles, and 4 RBIs.

Against Orofino, the bulldogs led with their pitchers Wigen and Inderrieden.

“It was a great day in Asotin, and we were able to pick up a couple of wins,” said head coach Scott Parish.

The Bulldogs are set to compete at their next game Saturday, March 25, at noon, at Jenkins high school in Chewelah.
