Two in custody after fleeing from law enforcement

COLFAX—Two suspects were arrested for eluding and theft after running out of gas in an attempt to avoid being taken into custody.

The two suspects, Corey Ness, 41, and Tamia Kimball, 55, both of Spokane, were taken into custody the evening of Monday, Feb. 20, for retail theft in the 2nd degree.

According to a Whitman County Sheriff’s Office press release from Tuesday, Feb. 21, Monday evening deputies were advised of a theft in progress at Walmart in Pullman.
