Whitman Hospital Foundation raises over $141,000 at fundraiser

COLFAX — The Whitman Hospital Foundation held their dinner and auction, raising over $141,000 for the Hospital on Saturday, Jan. 21, at the Hill-Ray Plaza in Colfax

Foundation Coordinator Desiree Chappell, stated that the funds were raised through the live auction, silent auction, donations, and sponsorships.

“Half of that was in sponsorship, and the other half was in the auctions,” Chappell said.

Chappell and the Hospital foundation wants to thank their seven legacy sponsors, which include Bank of Eastern Washington, Jones Truck and Implement, Edward Jones, Sparrow Homes, Mint Condition, and Values and Visions.

The auctioneer of the auction was Butch Booker.

The funds go to the Hospital foundation, and the foundation’s goal is to reach 10 million to the hospital to provide medical equipment, as well as other necessities.

“It was one of our biggest years to date for how much the auction made,” Chappell said.
