LaCROSSE — Columbia Grain International has donated a balanced bushel of assorted varieties of beans to local food banks and senior centers.

Through the Feed the Children program, 10,000 bags of assorted balanced bushel varieties of beans are being distributed to indigent families and communities throughout Washington, Idaho, Montana and North Dakota, company officials said.

In Washington state, donations have been made in Columbia, Garfield and Whitman Counties.

In Whitman County, donations were presented to the LaCrosse Food Pantry and LaCrosse Senior Center.
