Thrifty Grandmothers offer scholarships

COLFAX– The Colfax Thrifty Grandmothers are awarding up to 15 $1000 scholarships to graduating high school seniors in Whitman County this year.

Applicants must be students planning to attend accredited colleges, universities, and vocational or technical schools.

There are no restrictions on the course of study or career path that student’s choose. The grandmothers encourage high school seniors whop plan to pursue vocational or technical education to apply.

Students who have been active in their communities and plan to be a positive influence wherever they decide to live are taken into serious consideration. Successful applicants will demonstrate values of honesty, integrity, and willingness to work hard. As well as a desire to help others.

The application deadline is March 31, 2023. Application forms are available at the Thrifty Grandmother Thrift Shop located at 118 North Main, on the Colfax High School’s website https://sites.google.com/csd200.org/colfax-high-school/boyd; from high school counselors, or by emailing thrifty-grandmothers@gmail.com.
