WSU players transfer ahead of bowl game

Cougars will play Fresno State in the LA Bowl without top players

Washington State will play Mountain West-champion Fresno State in the Jimmy Kimmel Los Angeles Bowl at 12:30 p.m. Dec. 17 at So-Fi Stadium, and they'll do it without key players on both sides of the ball.

Fresno State earned the bid to the bowl being the #1 selection of the Mountain West football conference after beating Boise State in the conference championship game on Dec. 3, and the Cougars earned the berth being the PAC-12's #5 ranked team according to CFP selection after posting a 7-5 record for the team's seventh consecutive bowl-game appearance.
