Lady Bulldogs win first away game

Colfax Bulldogs beat Clarkston, now 4-0 for the season

CLARKSTON – Colfax traveled south to Clarkston on Dec. 8 and came back home still undefeated after beating the Bantams 72-45 in its second straight win by 20-plus points.

Clarkston and the Lady Bulldogs stayed nearly even throughout the first frame, and Colfax led the Lady Bantams 21-20 at the end of the opening quarter.

Then the Bulldogs came alive, putting up 19 points in the second quarter and holding Clarkston to just nine to go into halftime with an 11-point advantage.

Colfax continued to build the lead in the remaining two quarters, outscoring the Bantams 13-5 in the third and 19-11 in the fourth for the 27-point final win.

Three Bulldogs scored double-digit points, with Brynn McGaughy having 34 points, 12 points, two steals, two blocks and an assist.

Jaisha Gibb had 16 points, four rebounds, three assists and a steal and Hailey Demler had 13 points, six rebounds, four steals and two assists.

Colfax beat Upper Columbia Academy (Spangle) 49-32 on Dec. 13. Full stats were unavailable
