Tekoa woman sentenced to prison in fentanyl case
Kelly was originally being prosecuted for her involvement in a fatal overdose

TEKOA — Amber Kelly, 38, was found guilty in Whitman County Superior Court of two counts of delivering a controlled substance, records show.
Superior Court Judge Gary Libey sentenced Kelly to the prosecutor’s office recommendation of a mid-range of the standard sentence, 16 months in prison, and probation for a year.
“This is a small step forward to sending a message to others that if you sell fentanyl, you will be held responsible,” Libey said in Kelly’s Dec. 2 sentencing hearing.
