St. John sets off fireworks during their 2020 Winterfest.

ST. JOHN - St. John is holding their 30th year of Winterfest this Saturday, Dec. 3 through Sunday Dec. 4.

Saturday there will be Holiday shopping, a craft fair, food, "Santa is going to be at Torry's Country Store from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. for pictures," said Event Coordinator, Amanda Webb, noting that there will also be different high school groups fundraising in the fire station from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. as well.

"All of the businesses are open for shopping, most of them have sales going," Webb said, "It's worth braving the cold for shopping and fun."

There will be activities for the whole family available, a torchlight parade, and fireworks display over St. John.

A Winterfest Dinner and Benefit Auction at the St. John Community Club, located at 304 West Front Street will be held Sunday.

"There is everything from homemade caramels to diamond necklaces," Webb said, "baskets full of barbequed goodies, and home decor, Gonzaga men's basketball tickets."

Webb confirmed that all proceeds will go to improving the St. John Community Club Building and Fairgrounds, noting that they're looking to put a new roof on the community building right now.

"We're very proud to be celebrating 30 years of a community event," Webb added "We love long standing traditions in St. John, and we're very excited to see people celebrating with us downtown Saturday, and the benefit Sunday evening. It's a fun weekend ahead."
