COLFAX - A Free Press Publishing reporter has graduated from U.S. Army basic training at Fort Sill, Okla.

PFC. Olivia Harnack, 20, graduated Oct. 21, after approximately 10 weeks of training. Harnack has since been transferred to Fort Huachuca, Ariz., for advanced training.

Once she completes training next spring, Harnack is expected to return to Whitman County to work as a reporter at the Whitman County Gazette, a division of Cheney-based Free Press Publishing, through the summer of 2023. After that, she plans to return to Detroit to finish the remaining two years of her bachelor's degree...
