Pullman man sent to prison on drug charges

Man arrested with hundreds of Fentanyl pills

COLFAX— A Pullman man has been sentenced in Whitman County Superior Court on Friday Nov. 4, to prison for 45 months.

Joshua Bewick, 32, of Pullman, was arrested following a March traffic stop on Main Street in downtown Colfax, records show.

Deputies obtained a search warrant for his car and uncovered about 500 fentanyl pills, heroin, scales and cash, records show.

Following his arrest, Bewick was charged with a felony for possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanor driving while license suspended, records show.

Whitman County Superior Court Judge Gary Libey gave Bewick a drug offender sentencing alternative, records show. In the program, Bewick must undergo, and successfully complete substance-use disorder treatment certified by the state Department of Health.

Records show he has fees and fines of $500, records show.
