Town of Albion

Request for Qualification Data to Furnish Engineering Services

The Town of Albion is requesting qualified engineers to submit Statements of Qualifications

(SOQ) for providing engineering services related to the design and construction administration

for the Water System Improvements Project which includes new electrical controls and water meter at the Cemetery Well, installation of a telemetry system, new booster pump station, new water meters, portable emergency generator, and other miscellaneous improvements. The project budget, including construction, is approximately $982,500. Questions regarding this solicitation should be directed to Ms. Starr Cathey, Town Clerk, at (509) 332-5095.

Consultant selection will be based upon the following criteria, weighted as indicated: 1) firm experience (15); 2) proposed consultant team (15); 3) project understanding and approach (20); 4) past performance/references (15); 5) familiarity with community and local knowledge (15);

and 6) application and administration experience with federally funded projects, especially

Washington Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program (20). Interviews may be held at the Town’s discretion.

Firms desiring consideration shall submit two copies of their SOQ to the Town of Albion, PO Box 38, Albion, WA 99102. This project is funded through the Washington State Community Development Block Grant

ORDINANCE NO. 408 2022-9

WHEREAS, the Town of LaCrosse has met and considered its budget for the calendar year 2023; and, WHEREAS, the districts actual levy amount from the previous year was $36,026; and, WHERAS, the population of this district is less than 10,000; and now, therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the governing body of the taxing district that an increase in the regular property tax levy is hereby authorized for the levy to be collected in the 2023 tax year. The dollar amount of the increase over the actual levy amount from the previous year shall be $ 360.00 which is a percentage increase of 1% from the previous year. This increase is exclusive of additional revenue resulting from new construction, improvements to property, newly constructed wind turbines, any increase in the value of state assessed property, any annexations that have occurred and refunds made.

INVITATION FOR BIDS

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that sealed Bids for the New Storage Shop Building Project will be received in paper copy form by the Town of Rosalia, State of Washington, at City Hall in Rosalia, WA, until 2:00 P.M. local time, on October 20, 2022, at which time all bids will be opened and publicly read. Whitman County proposes amendments to its zoning ordinances, Chapter 19.03 – Definitions, adding definitions for assisted living facility, bunkhouse, and cabin; Chapter 19.10 – Agricultural District, making several changes in order to be consistent with the adoption of a new Comprehensive Plan; Chapter 19.12 – Cluster Residential District, eliminating language that is no longer pertinent; Chapters 19.15 and 19.16, North and South Pullman-Moscow Corridor Districts, amending Planning Department responsibilities; Chapter 19.41 – Rural Community Center District (RCC-1), adding assisted living facilities to the list of conditional uses; Chapter 19.54 – Nonconforming Uses And Special Exceptions, eliminating language regarding disuse of residential buildings; Chapter 19.59 – Surface Mining And Rock Crushing, adding language to make it consistent with the Comprehensive Plan; and Chapter 9.04 – State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA), correcting a mistaken statement.

HEAVY EQUIPMENT MECHANIC — Whitman County’s Public Works. HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATOR - Solid Waste: This is landfill and transfer station work involving the safe, efficient, and highly skilled operation of a variety of heavy landfill and transfer station equipment and the performance of manual work. Work requires employees to exercise considerable initiative and independent judgment in the performance and completion of assignments. This classification is characterized by highly skilled arc and acetylene welding work in the construction, modification, maintenance, and repair of equipment. HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATOR: LOCATIONS: Pullman, Palouse, St. John and Oakesdale. This individual is responsible for road maintenance and construction work involving, the safe, efficient and skilled operation of heavy road maintenance equipment and the performance of manual work. Work requires employees to exercise considerable initiative and independent judgment in the performance and completion of assignments. This classification is characterized by skilled operation, on a continuing basis, of one or more of the following equipment: bulldozers, hydraulic excavators, graders, welding equipment, truck, tractor and trailer as required. Perform skilled operation of tandem axle trucks and trailers and heavy road equipment in conformance with applicable laws, procedures, and standards; detect need for equipment repair, Work is normally performed in the cab of assigned equipment or outdoors in all weather conditions. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Two (2) years of tandem axle truck and trailer and equipment operation experience, or substituting on a month for month basis, any experience, education, or training which would demonstrate the level of knowledge and ability required. Able to drive a 13- speed road ranger transmission and a tandem axle truck, with a minimum of one year of full-time driving experience in this equipment. Possession of a valid Class ‘A’ Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with tank vehicle endorsement; must have a safe driving record. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen before beginning work. SALARY: $3,828.00 per month. CLOSING DATE: Open until filled. Whitman County Application is required.
