Ice Age Floods Institute plans event

PALOUSE FALLS – Local chapter members of the Ice Age Floods Institute will gather at the falls Sept. 24 for a short walk and meeting.

The 11 a.m. program is open to members and prospective members, officials said. The program will run until 2 p.m.

There will be several 2-minute talks, and demonstrations on volcanoes, earthquakes and mima mounds, officials said. Food and beverages will be available.

The event also will include lawn games – participants may bring their own corn hole, bocce and other games.
