OLYMPIA – Washington's Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) State Superintendent, Chris Reykdal announced his plan for high school students ages 16 and over to earn elective credits toward their high school diploma through paid work experience verified by their school in a media briefing on Thursday, August 4.
Nearly 30 percent (45,000-55,000) of Washington's students are employed in high school.
