PULLMAN – Pullman Regional Hospital’s Board of Commissioners now has a vacant board position, and is seeking candidates.
Former board member Margaret Werre finished her last day July 31 of five years serving the board, and will be moving out of the area with her family.
Eligible candidates must be a registered voter, live in Pullman city limits, and cannot be employed at the hospital. Candidates can send a letter of interest accompanied by a resume or CV to Board of Commissioners President Jeff Elbracht. Addressed to the hospital at 835 SE Bishop Blvd. Pullman, WA 99163 by September 28.
The Pullman Regional Hospital Board of Commissioners is an elected body that is legally responsible for overseeing hospital district policies and organization with respect to the district’s operation, including the delivery of quality patient care and meeting community healthcare needs.
On October 12, the board will host a special meeting to interview candidates and potentially appoint a new commissioner.
A Personal Financial Affairs statement with the Washington State Public Disclosure Commission must be filed by the appointee. They are required to run for the position in the November 2023 election.
Board of Commissioner terms are six years, they meet monthly in-person at Pullman Regional Hospital with an option to also participate through Zoom. All board meetings are open to the public.
