Tekoa pool parts arrive

TEKOA — The city pool closed June 17 after a pipe in the pool broke during a private party manager and lifeguard Ava Rambo said.

“People noticed the water level was going down. It’s an older part but we don’t know why it’s broken,” she said.

The pool received the 6-inch pipe needed to connect to the sand filter from Pool World last week, Rambo said, noting officials are currently awaiting an installer to complete repairs.

With warming summer weather, the pool’s primary focus is to reopen.
