Gena and her husband Mario returned to their home in Northern Italy last Monday after visiting at the homes of Fran Jones and Bryan Jones in June. 

While here, the family gathered in Kalispell, Mont., where Gena’s daughter Meggie lives. Gena’s son, Damien, his wife and daughters 6-year-old Elouise and 9-month-old Delilah live and work in Kalispell. 

Bruce and Johanna Jones came from their home in New York state to join the family, as did Warren and Julie Jones from Hauser, Idaho. 

Emelie Jones and her friend T.J., Spokane, joined the family.  Elouise and Delilah kept everyone entertained while Chef Mario kept everyone well fed.

Karen and Larry Light of Portland were guests of her father, David Stueckle, from Thursday to Sunday.  They attended the Farm Festival in LaCrosse.

Last Wednesday, a graveside service was held in Colfax for former LaCrosse native Doug Brannon. LaCrosse High School classmates who came to pay their respects included Merrill Camp and his wife, Gloria, of Walla Walla; Lee Hemmer and his wife, Karen, of Mansfield; Donna Knott Pierce and her husband, Chuck, of Cheney; Bev Milam Brunson and her husband, Dennis, of Richland; Sharry Krom O’Hearne of Colfax, Jerry Carlson and his wife, Judy, of Moses Lake; and Karen Broeckel of Dusty. 

All but Carlson’s gathered at Eddy’s Restaurant for supper and visiting. The mini-class reunion continued at the Parsonage B & B near Dusty during the evening and again the next morning for breakfast.

On Friday night, Tom and Doreen Riedner hosted a barbecue for those that attended Bible Study at Country Bible Church. Attendees included Gary and Diane Monson, Dale and Vicki Broeckel, Kimberly Gustafson, Bob and Terri Guenthner, Terry and Tawnja Miller, Lindsey and Caleb Hannas, Mike Zimmer, Roger Carter and Michael Largent.

There was great fellowship and everyone had a good time.

The LaCrosse graduating class of 1962 had its 60th class reunion on Farm Festival weekend, June 24-26.

On Friday evening, the classmates and their spouses gathered at Klemgard Park for a barbecue. 

Saturday, they rode in the LaCrosse parade and picnicked in the park, gathering at the home of Greg and Lorna Burns in Endicott for an evening meal. 

Sunday morning breakfast at the LaCrosse Cafe brought an end to the celebration.

Attending from the local area were classmates Blake Heaton, Alan Knott, Greg Schlomer, Dale Broeckel and Lorna Bell Burns. Out-of-towners included Ann Allert Donaldson of Rockford Bay, Idaho; Rosemary  Harness Gustafson of Ferndale; Patty Visby Rogers of Allyn; Ann Hennigar Butler of Clarkston; Rosemarie Saylor Ames of Spokane Valley; Shirley Sharpenberg Hardy of Salem, Ore .; Sharon Barry Wiederich and Sandy Hopkins Wise, both of Spokane; Wallace Roberts; Clarence “Cleeter” Braman of Ephrata; and Dennis Wiederich of Colbert.
