Summer intern joins Gazette

COLFAX — A Potlatch, Idaho, man has joined the Whitman County Gazette as a summer reporter intern.
Reid Thompson, 20, began his internship Monday, June 13.
He is a junior studying journalism and international relations at Syracuse University in New York.
Over the summer Thompson will be reporting on local affairs and creating a rural Whitman County visitors guide.
Thompson graduated from Potlatch High School in 2020 and hopes to apply his local knowledge of the Palouse to his new position.
