Waylon Virgil Newton, a boy, was born at 5:44 a.m. Thursday, June 16, to Thomas and Samantha Newton of St. John. He weighed 9 pounds 2 ounces and was 22 inches in length. Maternal grandparents are Rhiannon and Charles Foster of Spokane Valley and Onalaska. Paternal grandparents are Gary and Marcea Newton of St. John.
