WHITMAN COUNTY, STATE OF WASHINTON NOTICE TO PROFESSIONAL SERVICES FOR

Public Works Request for Proposals (RFP) – Yard and Wood Waste Grinding

Whitman County, Washington is seeking a qualified contractor to provide Whitman County Solid Waste a quote for the 2022 Yard and Wood Waste Grinding Contract

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The CONTRACTOR shall provide Whitman County with a quote including all labor and equipment needed to process and remove all yard and wood waste from the Whitman County Solid Waste site located approximately five miles north of Pullman, Washington and ½ mile west of State Route 195.

Successful bidder shall be responsible for moving all material from existing pile to grinder without assistance from Whitman County.

Successful bidder shall have the proper equipment and personnel to move in, grind and haul up to 1,000 tons per event and be completed within five (5) business days.

All quotes shall be on a per ton basis for processing and removal of yard and wood waste.

SUBMITTAL

Submittals should include firm name, contact information, name of Principal-in-Charge and project manager. Submittals will be evaluated and ranked based on the proposal components. The complete Request for Proposals (RFP) document will be on the Whitman County website: http://www.whitmancounty.org

Please submit proposals to: Brandon Johnson, Whitman County Administrative Supervisor, P.O. Box 430, N 310 Main Street, Colfax, WA 99111 by 5:00 p.m. Pacific Standard Time, on Monday, June 21, 2022. Neither late nor electronically submitted proposals will be accepted. The contact person will be David Nails (509) 334-2400.

Whitman County, in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4 and Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Department of Transportation, subtitle A, Office of the Secretary, Part 21, nondiscrimination in federally assisted programs of the Department of Transportation issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises as defined at 49 CFR Part 26 will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, national origin or sex in consideration for an award.
