County observes Memorial Day

Flags fly across Whitman County in honor of veterans

COLFAX - Cold, blustery weather added to the somber mood Monday, May 30, as communities across Whitman County and the nation paused in observance of Memorial Day.

In Colfax, nearly 50 people turned out to pay their respects during a Serviceof Honor and Remembrance for the service men and women who have given their lives protecting American freedoms.

Veteran Jim Lemon and managed the program at the Colfax Cemtery.

Rev. Robert Ingalls offered a prayer for veterans and their families. And Craig and Kristina Willson provided the musical accompaniment, with Craig Willson singing "The National An...
