Oakesdale Chicken Thief Has a Narrow Escape.

Hugh Boyle's Neck, Head, and Back Bespattered With Shot -- Bound Over to Superior Court

Deputy Green Smith returned from Oakesdale Monday having in charge Hugh Boyle, who had been bound over to the superior court on a charge of burglary. Boyle felt sore and had good reason for, it the whole of his back being speckled with shot. Dr. Ferguson on Monday picked out over seventy of the leaden pellets from Boyle's flesh, and it is doubtful if he got all of them.
