January home sales improved from last year

COLFAX – More homes were selling at a higher price in January when compared to 2021.

The average price for a home sold in Whitman County in January is higher than a year ago at $259,400. It’s $14,700 higher, according to the Housing Report by the Whitman County Association of REALTORS.

More homes were sold in January 2022 than last year. In the first month of this year, 28 homes were sold compared to 19 in January 2021.

It took three days less to sell them from 30 to 27 days on the market.
