AMBER ALERT: Lewiston 15-year-old found

SPOKANE VALLEY - Lillian Dixon, a 15-year-old from Lewiston, Idaho, was found after a tip was provided during and Amber Alert on Tuesday evening.

The Washington State Patrol reported a citizen gave a tip of seeing a stolen 2007 maroon Chevrolet Trailblazer with a driver matching Jonathan Bowles, 36, of Lewiston. Troopers located the vehicle on Pines Road in Spokane Valley. Dixon appeared to be in the passenger seat.

The SUV stopped for a short time and then fled from police. The vehicle was found abandoned later.

Dixson was found and taken into protective custody. She received a medical evaluation but did not have injuries, according to the state patrol.

Bowles was booked into Spokane County Jail for warrants regarding charges of child molestation, attempting to elude a police vehicle, kidnapping in the second degree, resisting arrest, assault in the third degree of a police officer, obstructing a police officer, and possession of a stolen vehicle.

The Whitman County Gazette has a story on Thursday that was sent to the press before Dixon was found. The story indicates they are searching for her. Because of the timing, the story is no longer correct.
