Retired police chief keeps working

PULLMAN — Pullman Police Chief Gary Jenkins continues working for another year after his announced retirement in June.

Mayor Glenn Johnson announced the change on Thursday after meeting with City Administrator Mike and Jenkins.

“Jenkins’ decision was made with full consultation with his wife, Malinda, and after participating in interviews with the three finalists who were vying to replace him as chief following a nationwide search,” stated Johnson.

None of the three candidates for police chief were chosen to replace Jenkins.
