COLFAX - Four Colfax Downtown Association projects near completion with a July 15 deadline.

The storefront beautification work is at Rolling Hills Eyecare, Colfax Dental, Whitman County Council on Aging, and Thrifty Grandmothers.

A total of $38,500 was awarded in grants last year. It is funded by the county's .09% sales tax economic development program.

"We are very excited at how far we've stretched this money and how many businesses have been helped," said Whitney Bond, executive director of the Colfax Downtown Association.
