Republicans seek applicants for county assessor

COLFAX— The Whitman County Republican Central Committee is seeking applicants for the Whitman County assessor following the death of Robin Jones.

The party asks for letters of interest from candidates seeking the appointment to be the county assessor. Letters may be sent to whitmancogop@gmail.com

The committee meets on June 28 to choose three nominees.

County commissioners choose from the three to make the appointment.

The new assessor completes the remainder of Jones’ term in 2022 and runs for election afterward....
