OAKESDALE - The 2020 Inland Northwest Country Music Association Top Band award went to The Hankers, for the second year in a row.

Vocalist Julie Layne Niehenke was named Top Female Vocalist, for the second consecutive year.

A ceremony was held Feb. 21 at Nashville North, a live music venue in Stateline, Idaho.

Based in Oakesdale, Hankers' fiddle player Keith Niehenke was runner-up for top Instrumentalist and New Song of the Year for the song "Going Fishing," which is set to debut on the band's upcoming album release this spring.

The Hankers are made up of husband-and-wife Keith and Julie, of Oakesdale, along with guitarist Greg Stephens, bass player Marena Stewart, both from Spokane, and drummer Kevin Olsonberg, of Post Falls, Idaho.
