Ardent Mills to buy Hinrichs Trading Company

The ownership may change, but the name will remain

The Hinrichs plant is located outside Pullman. Five generations have taken part in the company.

PULLMAN - Hinrichs Trading Company will soon be acquired by Ardent Mills.

The Denver-based flour-milling and ingredient company declared its intent to buy the family-owned garbanzo bean (chick peas) processing company based in Pullman. It operates facilities in Washington, Idaho, and Montana.

"Hinrichs Trading Company has over 30 years of chickpea experience, having been involved in the production of the ingredient since it was first introduced into the U.S," stated an Ardent Mills representative.

Ardent Mills' operations are found in the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico.
