'Snitches' target 71 in Whitman County

COLFAX — Gov. Jay Inslee’s so-called “snitch list” shows 71 coronavirus complaints filed against Whitman County businesses, churches and public agencies between Oct. 1 and Dec. 15.

Even Whitman County government offices were targeted, as was the city of Pullman offices and Washington State University, according to the list. Most of the 18,602 complaints statewide during that timeframe were made anonymously or by individuals requesting their names be withheld.

The Gazette has filed a public records request for information on those filing complaints about businesses in Whitman County.
