COLFAX – Total precipitation for June came in more than a third of an inch above historical average with 1.71 inches.
Highest events logged were on June 15 with .56 inches and June 8 with .48 inches. Both were Mondays, so the reading would have reflected rainfall over the preceding weekend.
The month also ended on a wet note with .28 inches recorded June 30.
Historic average for June is 1.36 inches. The extra moisture precedes the normally driest month of the year, with July averaging only .56 inches of rain a year historically.
