Colfax school construction Phase Four turns corner

Workers at Colfax Junior-Senior High School began moving new furniture Monday into upper-floor classrooms, which are now complete as part of Phase Four of the $18.9 million construction project.

“The big move will be on Thursday,” said Jerry Pugh, Colfax superintendent.

Next week, Phase Four will move to the bottom floor.

Phases Five and Six are scheduled to begin in March. These include the gym and locker rooms, the east side of the upper hallway, downstairs office and special education room.

Pugh noted that next Tuesday, Feb. 13, sliding backdrops will be installed in the auditorium.
