Realtors back Pullman challengers

Washington Association of Realtors have donated $1,000 to each of the challengers in the two Pullman City Council races, according to listings from the state’s Public Disclosure Commission.

Francis Benjamin, a former council member, challenged incumbent Eileen Macoll for council seat six, and Chris Johnson challenged incumbent Ann Parks for position four.

Backing from the Realtors Association has become one of the factors in the Spokane mayoral campaign where, former TV news reporter Nadine Woodward has received strong backing from the state realtors association.

In Pullman, contributions in Johnson’s campaign totaled $7,078 in the latest PDC postings. In addition to the realtors sum he has received $1,000 donations from the Pullman Fire Fighters Local, Kathleen Lloyd, Sherdon Cordova and Lani Cordova. Nathan Fisher has donated $500 to the campaign.

Incumbent Parks has filed under the state’s “mini campaign” option which does not require listing contributions.

Macoll is not listed in the PDC filings.
