State blog features county non-profits

Happy Pastures out by LaCrosse and the Council on Aging and Human Services were both spotlighted on the Washington Nonprofits February website blog.

Washington Nonprofits supports groups throughout the state by providing education, data and networks.

“We make sure nonprofits have what they need to succeed,” is the slogan on the Washington Nonprofit’s webpage.

The Feb. 20 article was written by Julia Hunter, membership and learning coordinator for Washington Nonprofits.

Paige Collins, the executive director for the Council on Aging and Human Services in Colfax, is also the founder of Happy Pastures.

Happy Pastures is a nonprofit livestock rescue operation that has become home for animals who have touched the hearts of various residents.

The Council on Aging and Human Services is committed to enhancing lives and supporting communities in Whitman County and beyond by assisting with transportation and nutrition services, including senior meals and food pantries.

Collins heads both organizations.
