Chief Heston earns CFO designation

Pullman Fire Chief Mike Heston has completed the process that awards the professional designation of Chief Fire Officer, one of only 1,344 CFOs worldwide.

Sponsored by the Center for Public Safety Excellence, the program is designed to recognize individuals who demonstrate excellence in seven components: experience, education, professional development, professional contributions, association membership, community involvement and technical competence. In addition, all applicants are required to identify a future professional development plan.
