New landfill office delayed

The Whitman County Public Works department is still preparing specifications for a small, new office building at the county landfill off Carothers Road.

Mark Storey, Public Works director, informed county commissioners Tuesday that they will rent a portable for the landfill in the short term, at an estimated cost of $400 per month.

“We’re getting pretty close,” said Storey.
