Inspired Palouse art now showing in Colfax

Inspired Palouse, a Plein-Air inspired art competition is now showing at Libey Gallery at The Center at Colfax Library. The show is comprised of 38 pieces in a variety of media including oils, photographs, collage and textile that were inspired by the great outdoors from locations within a 75 mile radius of Colfax.

Sponsored by the Colfax Arts Council, the submissions were judged for inclusion in the exhibit. The artwork will then be juried for first through third place winners, while the public is encouraged to vote for "The People's Choice" award winner. Voting continues through Nov. 17 in the Gallery with $500 in prizes being awarded.

Inspired Palouse culminates on Saturday, Nov. 17, from 5-7 p.m. with a public reception and award ceremony at 6 p.m. Punch, coffee and refreshments will be served, along with a no-host bar with wine and beer.
