Healthy Tekoa October events

Healthy Tekoa Coalition will host three family-friendly events in October. Below is a listing of events to be held this coming month.

Homecoming Community Bonfire: Bonfire starts at about 7 p.m. (or a little later) on Oct. 4. Hot dogs and hot cocoa will be served for free. Come see the grade-level float designs and watch our students compete. This event is made possible through partnerships between Healthy Tekoa, Tekoa Boosters, Tekoa School District and many community members.

Family Carnival: Come to the annual Fall Carnival at Tekoa Grade School gym on Oct. 27 from 1-3 p.m. Kids and adults can wear their costumes, play more than 15 fun games for prizes and enjoy treats. This event is made possible through partnerships between Healthy Tekoa, Tekoa businesses, BETA and the Tekoa School District. Many community members will volunteer their time to create the carnival atmosphere.

Halloween Double-Feature: A very scary double feature at the Empire Theatre Oct. 27 at 5 p.m. Teens and adults can dress up for costume competition and be scared silly watching Little Shop of Horrors and Night of the Living Dead. This event is made possible through partnerships between Healthy Tekoa and Tekoa Empire Theatre.
