Colfax juvenile taken to Martin Hall center

An 11-year-old Colfax boy was arrested and taken to Martin Hall detention center by Colfax Police April 25. Chief Rick McNannay said the youngster was arrested for an alleged assault of another boy April 23 at Hamilton Park. He said they learned April 25 that the boy had also threatened a youngster with a shooting.

The chief noted the prosecutor’s office and juvenile department are asking police departments to follow through with arrests in juvenile cases involving violence and threats.
