Palouse approves next step in housing addition

The Palouse city council gave preliminary approval March 27 for a 12-lot new housing addition on the south end of town. The project, proposed by Palouse Builders, LLC, of Newport, Wash., gained approval by the council after initial support from the city’s planning commission and board of adjustment.

A preliminary plan includes lot dimensions, road placement, water and sewer, access and easements. The development will include four duplexes. The rest will be available for purchase.

Lot sizes will range from one third to three quarters of an acre.
