Grafting class slated at Gladish Center

A two-hour class on grafting will be March 17 starting at 11 a.m . and will be at the Gladish Community Center in Pullman. Students will be taught fruit tree pruning and fruit tree grafting techniques by Jim McGinty. David Benscoter will be on hand to assist, answer questions and provide a wide variety of scion wood, including once lost varieties, for students. Each student will receive two rootstocks to graft onto during the hands-on portion of the workshop. Call 509-238-5150 to register for the class.

In addition, grafting supplies will be available for beginners to purchase. Experts will be there to answer fruit-growing questions.
