Endicott pets attend vaccine clinic

Andrea Miller administers a rabies vaccine to Calliope, a resident Endicott feline, at the Vaccine Clinic hosted by the town Jan. 20. According to town clerk Laura Jones, 18 dogs were registered during the two-hour event and about 30 rabies vaccine shots were given to dogs and cats. This is the third year the town has put on the event. Miller, DVM from St. John Vet Clinic, was also prepared to administer vaccines for distemper, parvo, feline leukemia, kennel cough and a feline three-in-one, as well as microchip the pets. Rabies vaccine is required by state law. According to Jones, the town plans to continue the clinic annually.
