Eaglets are beginning to branch out

The eaglets have hit another milestone and are now moving into the tree's branches. Those cute little fluff balls are now rowdy and ornery raptors that protect their food vigorously. The wingspan of the larger eaglet is impressive and just about the width of the nest. Control of the wings continues to be a challenge for both birds. They will leave the nest after gaining more weight and strength. After that, the eaglets will stay close to the nest and under their parents’ care for another six weeks before striking out on their own.
